Rudy Gonzalez, also known as Rudy Glez, is a distinguished figure in the realm of football soccer, marked by a rich and diverse journey through various roles in both professional clubs and youth development.

Born and raised with a characteristic love for football, Rudy’s journey began when he earned his Spanish UEFA “A” License from the Royal Andalusian Football Federation in Sevilla, Spain. His educational foundation is solid, boasting a Bachelor’s degree from California State University, Stanislaus and a Masters Degree from the prestigious Universidad Autónoma de Barcelona, reflecting a unique blend of academic excellence and practical football knowledge.

Over more than a decade, Rudy immersed himself in the intricate world of football coaching, accumulating invaluable experience at both youth and professional levels. His passion for the game is profound, evident in his admission to living, dreaming, and breathing Fútbol.

The turning point in Rudy’s coaching career occurred during the 2008 season when he had the privilege of residing in Barcelona, Spain witnessing firsthand the perfection of Guardiola’s FC Barcelona. This experience not only fueled his passion, but also crystallized his coaching style, propelling him towards a lifelong commitment to the profession.

In 2011, Rudy made a significant move to Sevilla, Spain, enrolling at CEDIFA, a Soccer Coaching School under the Andalusian Football Federation. Here, he had the opportunity to learn from knowledgeable instructors associated with top clubs like Sevilla FC and Real Betis. Attending world-class football seminars featuring renowned coaches from top European clubs further enriched Rudy’s coaching expertise.

His coaching journey unfolded with various roles, starting from overseeing tournaments in the eight Andalusian provinces for the under 10 and under 12 categories, including soccer scouting to identify promising young talents. This grassroots dedication showcased Rudy’s commitment to nurturing football from its foundational levels.

Transitioning to professional club involvement, Rudy joined Ecija Balompie in 2013, further honing his expertise and commitment to player development. A significant move to the United States followed, where he contributed as a combine coach for the Sacramento Republic FC from 2015 to 2018, showcasing his proficiency in identifying and nurturing talent at the professional level.

Rudy’s influence extended to youth development with Norcal Youth Clubs, where he played a vital role in clubs such as FC Elk Grove in 2016 and Clovis Crossfire in 2018. His impact on young players demonstrated a commitment to fostering talent beyond professional ranks.

Rudy Glez at Univision Taking his passion to the collegiate level, Rudy served at Fresno Pacific University from 2018 to 2020, expanding his coaching portfolio and contributing to the growth of collegiate-level players.

Rudy’s entrepreneurial spirit shined through in 2019 when he co-founded Cordoba City Ladies, a women’s club in Cordoba, Spain, expanding the cause of women’s soccer.

In 2023, Rudy continued to make waves in the soccer community by founding Cruizers Academy in Modesto, California, underscoring his commitment to fostering grassroots talent and providing a platform for aspiring players.

Rudy’s soccer journey is a testament to his dedication, versatility, and passion for the sport. His experience spans age groups, levels of play, and continents, establishing him as a dynamic, influential, and international soccer figure in the beautiful game.
